Pythonista
FAQ
When and where can I get this?
I'm still working on Pythonista Lab – it's essentially a completely new app, and being a solo project, things take time… I expect to have a public beta on TestFlight in the next couple of weeks though, and if you're interested in checking that out, please fill out this short form, and I'll put you on the list.
The "classic" Pythonista 3 is available, as always, on the App Store.
What happens with Pythonista 3?
Pythonista "classic" will also get a free update soon, with the latest Python 3.13 interpreter and updated libraries.
A beta is already available on TestFlight, but I only have a limited number of slots left.
I also intend to keep Pythonista 3 around for backwards compatibility, once Pythonista Lab is released, because it still supports an older generation of devices, and there are some features that just don't fit very well into the redesigned concept and UI of Pythonista Lab.
Where can I discuss this?
I have moved the Pythonista community forum over to GitHub, and you're very welcome to share your feedback and questions there. You can also find me as @olemoritz on Mastodon and BlueSky.
