Here are a few tools. (Indent block, unindent block, and execute block) integrated in a sidebar that runs in the editor.

As an aside, just noticed undocumented editor._set_toolbar which takes a view as an argument, which seems to allow a short view at the top of the editor window!
Oh the possibilities! Pdb breakpoints, select/copy/paste without the annoying ios tapandhold, pop up help on the selected text, find/replace, git integration..
