Access google drive via external files

Kasualpython

I’m trying to access my google drive from the external files menu, but for some reason the google drive folder is greyed out/disabled. Is there a way to get this to work? Basically, I want to be able to edit files on my computer as well as my ipad and keep them synced.

@Kasualpython please read this topic and its pointed links like the link in the last post

@cvp Thanks for the response. I should say, I did read that topic before posting this question. I was hopefully trying to find a simple solution for accessing google drive via external files to keep everything synced instead of using PyDrive or just a single import into Pythonista from google drive. I couldnt seem to find any posts on this forum that directly showed a way to do that, maybe thats because you cant.

Exactly. Don't forget that Google Drive is not a file system...This explains that.

@Kasualpython the problem is the same with OneDrive 🥲

@cvp Yeah, I tried onedrive and no luck... Do you think this is a possibilty to add as a feature? If so, is there somewhere to request features?

@Kasualpython I don't have any hope to see this feature and you can always write here a request. In the past, the developer did read this forum and even wrote answers but not for a long period of time. Personally, I still hope he will come back with a new version but even his Twitter is inactive.
Thus, wait and pray

@Kasualpython the only supported cloud is iCloud Drive.
