Greetings,

I love Editorial. It's like magic! However, today I was switching back and forth between apps and copying text back and forth when it quit on me. It then crashed on opening a couple of times. I tried quitting out if it by going to the multitasking bar and swiping up, then reopening it, but it still crashed upon opening. I then powered down my ipad, by holding the power button down, and restarted it. Editorial again quit upon opening. I tried going to the multi tasking bar and swiping up again. Still quits upon opening. Thoughts?

There will be an easier way to recover from a situation like this in 1.1, but until then, it's a bit of a hassle, unfortunately.

I can't be sure about the exact reason in your particular case, but mostly, this is an issue of trying to reopen the previous document at launch. If it's a large file, there's a chance that this times out, and the app is killed by the system (because it takes too long to launch). It could also be a crashing bug that is triggered by a particular type of markdown syntax in the document (in that case, I'd be very interested in the document that triggers the crash).

In any case, what you can do is to remove the document from outside the app (or rename it), i.e. by connecting the iPad to a Mac/PC, and using DiskAid or a similar tool to access Editorial's files. After deleting or renaming the previous document, you should be able to launch the app again. I hope this helps, sorry about the inconvenience!

The file was in my Dropbox. DiskAid seems to only give me access to the files that were stored locally. So at this point, I'm not about to rename or delete it.

I've tried to rename the file in Dropbox, but that doesn't get Editorial going.

Ah, I figured it out. You have to show hidden folders and drill down into the file structure a bit. Thanks ole!
