I was wondering if there are any known plans of updating the built-ins like NumPy, which I believe is on 1.8, while the most up-to-date version is 1.18?

NumPy, PIL, etc. versions
@TheGreatSquid im going to assume a lib update like thatbmight happen when we move to Python 3.8 or possibly Python 4. its not far away really
@stephen ok! I’m just surprised that the Python version of Pythonista stays relatively up to date, but the versions of these libraries doesn’t.
@TheGreatSquid
have you tried using Stash to update some yourself?
@stephen Not sure how to get that to work, since stash doesn’t register that NumPy is installed, since it’s in the standard library in Pythonista. “pip update numpy” raises an error, and “pip install numpy” breaks with “OmniClass ...” and doesn’t even let me import numpy at all after.
@TheGreatSquid, they cannot be updated with stash. If you need to be able to run with fresh libraries on your device, you might need to look at other apps like Pyto. If you go that route, one thing on the plus side is that you can use the much better editing UI of Pythonista, and just run in Pyto.

i believe @mikael is saying to you pythonista's better Environment or IDE to write and "export" to Pyto and use the Lib and Interpreter there
@stephen ok, Thanks. If it is that, I know of course. But I have hoped during one second that we could use exactly the same code with the Pyto's ui.

😂😎 i figured you did but just in case..
@cvp, what @stephen said, sadly.
@mikael Thanks and Sorry for my usual misunderstanding 😅
@cvp, although, how difficult would it be to get at least the basics in place, with a translating library... 😁
@mikael For you, it could be so easy 😇 But, at this moment, you should perhaps need to choose between Pythonista and Pyto, and I love Pythonista, I want to stay with it.
@cvp, you and us all, brother.
