Request: Alternatives to Dropbox

hamishmacdonald

Editorial is an incredibly useful program (I'd say "app", but this is far more powerful than what we think of when we think of apps).

My one wish for a future version would be to have choices other than Dropbox. (Box would be good, or Mega, or...) Their controversial board appointment today makes me uncomfortable -- as does being entirely tied to one system. So it'd be great to have alternatives.

Thanks!

If an alternative was added, of those two options, I would vote for Box. They have a growing presence in the enterprise, which might open up Editorial for more use in those settings.

I agree, we need an alternative to Dropbox. You might consider giving your users the alternative of using a Transporter for those of us trying to get our data out of clouds; but any other choice is better than Dropbox.

Yeah between those option, I agree that Box would be good. I'm fine with Dropbox, but Box gave me 50 GB a while back so after Dropbox, it's my second most used. Though I've got a lot of space on Drive now and Drafts added Google Drive actions, so that may become more frequently used in the near future.

Ahhh Google Drive would be so much fun! Imagine these worksheets from university and stuff being managed by something as wonderful as Editorial, not stock Google Docs editor.
