Might be a dumb question but in the iPhone version of pythonista, how do you rename a file in your script library or do a save as? I can't seem to find the option anywhere and the docs make no reference to how to.
Cheers.

You can rename a file by tapping on the title in the editor. On the iPad, a rename button will appear directly next to it, on the iPhone, you have to tap the "action" button and then select the "rename" option from the menu.
Excellent thanks.
That was not obvious.

Hmm.. when I tap the script title in the editor, it always opens up the drop-down exposing shortcuts to the script class/functions... Can't seem to edit/rename the script title. What am I missing?
@BernardV Tap the button next to the title when the navigation drop-down is shown.
Unfortunately it appears the only possible file extension is .py
Not a dumb Q, Marc- took me a while to find it too!
jose3f - you can use different homebrew filebrowsers to work with other file extensions.
I made a GUI (kinda incomplete right now- http://omz-software.com/pythonista/forums/discussion/186/file-browser ) but the most robust file browser by far is Shellista ( http://omz-software.com/pythonista/forums/discussion/74/advanced-shell-shellista/p1 )
It's possible to change file extensions using things like that.
Thank you Eliskan for your answer and specially for sharing your code.
I suggested the option to save a file in Pythonista with an extension other than .py.
But it is true that with your browser or with Shellista this is no more a real problem.
I've tried all suggestions but I am still having the same problem on my IPhone.
I tap the title and try every icon visible, but it won't let me rename the file.
Any hints? What does the icon look like?
FOUND THE SOLUTION:
HAVE TO TAP VERY SLOWLY ON THE PENCIL ICON, SO NOT IMMEDIATELY LIFTING MY FINGER.
Using iPhone 5 and ios 7.
