Sandwiched in between Python for IBM i and Python for OS/390 and z/OS... It took a bit of work but it is up there now.

omz

Well, that might explain why sales have been up about 2x in the last two days. 😀🎉

Thank you so much for this!

omz

Seriously, the sudden spike in sales was a complete mystery to me, as I didn't see any new press coverage, but this must be it.

cvp

🍾 but not too much before a new version 😂

Congratulations @omz .. Well Deserved!
No Better App Than Pythonista, To Learn Python.. On iOS!

cvp

@ramvee Not only to learn but also to develop your own apps...

ramvee

@cvp Totally Agree!!

Olaf

Congrats @omz!

dgelessus

Woot! (I wonder who suggested it to be put there.)

Edit: Well look who's here... :) python/pythondotorg#1126

Edit 2: Well I'm an idiot, I totally missed the link in the OP. >.<

Wow- congratulation.
Well deserved ! Pythonista is such a great app :-)

In total agreement with everyone here. I love this product. As a retiree that had not programmed for years and years Pythonista was so compelling it got me back into programming as a hobby. The app and Ole deserve all the success in the world. Whatever success means for him.
I think you also should get special credit for putting up with us and our billion requests :)

Brun0oO

I agree very much with all previous comments.
Congrats @omz
it's greatly deserved!
Finally, Pythonista rules 😜

technoway

Thank you omz for making such a great product, and congratulations ccc, on getting Pythonista on the Python website.
Pythonista is, by far, my favorite App on my iPhone.

ForceBru

Congratulations, @omz! Pythonista is the best app for Python programming on iOS! I use it every day (yep, I'm a Python fan; also, a Pythonista fan, definitely) and I like everything about it. I mean, with Pythonista I can do everything I can do on my computer. Pythonista runs very smoothly and allows the use of all Python features (...except multiprocessing and subprocesses, but this is understandable), which is perfect!

BTW, it would also be super awesome if you could create a C or C++ IDE just like Pythonista :D At the moment, there are no apps in the AppStore that provide stable offline compilation of C or C++ code.

ellie_ff1493

@ForceBru I think it's against apples t&c because it has to compile code

dgelessus

@ellie_ff1493 Apple has recently (a few months ago) relaxed the restrictions on executable code - apps are now allowed to compile and run user code. There are however some restrictions about how much screen space user code is allowed to use, that it must be an educational app, and some other things - Apple just loves to put random restrictions on this sort of thing. I'd recommend reading that section of the app guidelines yourself if you're interested in the exact requirements.

Well done @omz!

david

Great new.... Congrats!

cvp

Have you ever seen an app where the developer is so congratulated by (all) his clients? 😇

It is about time. Excellent work @ccc and well deserved kudos to @omz. I was a lost programming soul on iOS bouncing between a fairly good version of BASIC, a mediocre implementation of Python and Lua. Then I discovered Pythonista and my life on iOS has never been the same since.
