I would back a Kickstarted Mac version of Editorial

Just saying. How about it?

While we are at it, we might as well throw Pythonista in there. That is a good idea.

Playing Devil's Advocate: What would this bring over existing IDE's on Mac?

I'd pay $19 for a Mac version if it included some updates to both iOS / Mac versions: full iCloud Drive sync and more syntax types (like ReStructured Text, Groff, etc)

Overall I love Editorial but its a pain to always be tied to tablet/phone.

Unbelievable, I would pay 500 USD FOR PYTHONISTA on Mac

Editorial on macOS would be nice, but I kind of think Pythonista would be completely superfluous. There aren't any problems with an editor like Atom. And for the desktop platform, we already have libraries like Tkinter and Pygame which are well-suited to a mouse and keyboard. I don't think Pythonista for macOS would be very useful, in short.
