I have both version on my iPhone.
Is there any need for both? Can I just delete Pythonista 2?

Is there a straightforward way to get my scripts from version 2 into version 3?

You should be able to just move them into the Pythonista 3 folder

Thanks- but HOW do you move the scripts from v2 to v3?

You go to "Pythonista 2 Documents", tap edit, select everything you want to move to Pythonista 3, tap the move button at the bottom of the screen and select "Documents" as destination
