FYI - iOS 9.3.2 bricking iPad Pros (both models)

Phuket2

Just I case you haven't seen it, the update released today is bricking IPad Pros (apparently both models) , attaching to iTunes does not fix it. I guess apple will do something quick.

Just a FYI

Thanks! You might've just saved me a lot of bother.

I am glad. I was about 5 mins off updating myself and just happened to see the story. Just a massive inconvenience

athros

I updated just fine, but I have the 12" iPad Pro.

Phuket2

@athros ,ok. I have the 12incy also. It's just what I read. I don't want to risk it at the moment. I wait a few days 😱

MartinPacker

12.9" Pro updated without hassle - as a web search didn't seem to indite it.

@MartinPacker , fair enough. This is not the original article I seen yesterday http://flip.it/Pjh96 but it's a NBC news report. I understand a lot of hoaxes out there these days. That's why if a report like this is not from a source I trust I wouldn't post it.

I also just saw

iOS 9.3.2 is bricking some 9.7-inch iPad Pros - Cult of Mac

Which is from a source I trust

@Webmaster4o , yeah. I think when I seen it, it was very fresh news. That's why they said most users of ipad pros affected. But of course as the day goes on more reports come in and people start saying they can update. They hear all the negative comments in the beginning.
Again, it's not a big deal. But I don't want my ipad bricked for a few days until they figure it out. Also imagine if only solution to fix it is to connect to your iTunes account on your computer . What happens if you are out traveling and cant access your computer. Disaster for some.

MartinPacker

Note: I wasn't disputing 9.7 having problems. 12.9, however, seems to be unsubstantiated.

Phuket2

@MartinPacker , no problems. I understand. Just saying about the news cycle. Also saying because a lot of hoaxes these days. I still like you and other people to know that i think before posting. Of course up to everyone to search themselves and find out. Only reason I posted, this seemed like it could be a very bad thing if you really needed your iPad Pro. Something like this does not happen that often thank god. But anyway, I didn't take your message out of context 😀
