Wrapped lines not displaying correctly

uncleWalter120

Hi Ole,

since iOS 7, on my iPhone 5, wrapped lines only display the part on the first line, the "wrapped" part isn't shown. Instead a funny character is displayed. It is not possible to see/edit the entire line anymore. The code still runs though, so it's obviously still there... Pls help!

I just noticed the same problem since the iOS 7 update on my iPad mini.
When switching between portrait and landscape mode it is also obvious, that the lines are still there, because they appear and disappear depending on the screen width.

I found that the "funny characters" are actually the missing lines' characters all printed on top of each other. Maybe that helps finding the issue... On the iPhone it's really annoying because there, landscape doesn't leave you a lot of visible lines and the error still occurs.

UPDATE: The tabs issue was fixed quite elegantly with the soft tabs feature of Pythonista v1.4.

On iOS7 a tab only takes up one space instead of four even though my settings are set to 4 spaces per tab. In general, I always use spaces instead of tabs so it is not an issue for me but interesting nonetheless.

Had the same problem since beta testing ios7 - emailed pythonista support back then, so disappointed not to see an update out by now. Massive fan of pythonista though, so I can wait!

Hi !

Same problem on IOS7 whatever are the text settings (line height, theme, font, etc...)

I noticed that commenting the line (e.g. Putting # at the start of the line) shows the whole line. Not ideal, but at least I can edit these long lines again...

Thanks for the tip. A very helpful workaround!

I have the same issue. I see more often on the iphone since the ipad is wider. Glad to know the workaround but of course would be nice to not deal with the bug to begin with.
