I've been experimenting with url schemes a little bit. It works pretty well, for example, to open the app working copy and start its WebDAV server. Now I'm trying to push Textastic into the foreground since its WebDAV server is only active when in foreground (it doesn't have the grace period that working copy has). Pushing Textastic into the foreground actually works using textastic://. The problem is to get Pythonista back into the foreground afterwards (after about three seconds). I issue the url pythonista://, but nothing happens. Is there a kind of restriction in iOS that an application cannot push itself into the foreground? Thanks!

pretty sure apps can not open themselves from the background.
