They are starting to annoy the forum. Maybe someone could add a captcha or some human verification to prevent auto-registration. If that's not enough, new registered member is not allowed to post immediately. Say, new member need 15 minutes after registration to be allowed to post on the forum.

What about adding registration to Pythonista and disabling registration from the web?

This is the best suggestion so long as registration is encouraged but OPTIONAL. Read-only access should remain open to all. I doubt that there are many non-licensees of Pythonista who will be active contributors to the Community Forum but they should always be welcome to read-only access.

I hope someone is listening... This spam is going to be the end of the forum and the end of this software. I love Pythonista but I also love the community and they are not great without each other.

I find myself using this app less and less as I no longer come to the forum for ideas and problems others have solved.

Sadly.

There are a number of ways to deal with it, and captcha is not one of them. Most (80-90%) of the captcha generation schemes have been cracked by spammers, so they are worthless.
