Have any of you connected Pythonista up to a drone?

Hmm... I have one, and technically this would probably be feasible. However considering how bad the default software occasionally is when it comes to keeping the thing in one place, I doubt I'd be able to write anything useful with my programming skills.

I haven't tried to run it yet but there is this: https://github.com/venthur/python-ardrone
and you might also look here: http://reustle.io/blog/controlling-the-ardrone-with-python

Unfortunately, I see that libardrone imports multiprocessing which I do not believe is available for Pythonista.

Wondering if there have been any developments. I have a parrot Rolling Spider (controlled via Bluetooth LE). Is there any reason one could not create something in Pythonista using the SDK?

Wow! I must get the Rolling Spider! Right now Bluetooth LE work is on hold for Pythonista until there is a new beta or BLE is rolled into the main line releases. I'm not concerned if libardrone uses multitasking as long as it documents the protocol.
