each time the user should enter something when prompted by the action "Request Text Input" he has to click in the box to make the soft keyboard appear. Isn't there a way to bring the soft keyboard automatically (or at least as an option) to appear when the "Request Text Input" action is called?

I believe this is a bug with iOS 8 & Editorial. I remember it working the way you describe back with iOS 6 & 7.

I think this is similar to a problem I have with Pythonista. It's probably common code between both apps.

Yes. It's an IOS 8 issue. IOS 7 worked fine.
