Is there any way to hide it? I don't use it but I will be happy with more available space to see while writing.

I actually use a Bluetooth keyboard when I am doing long writing. The keyboard goes away completely. You can still split the keyboard also.

I am using the on-screen keyboard but no additional row of buttons is needed for me.

This issue doesn't seem to be answered. Is there a way to disable the additional row, especially when using bluetooth keyboard?
