You have singlehandedly created the most useful productivity app known to man (or at least to me, and I have used a lot of software programs).

Right now my iPad is scouring through a very long document and placing horizontal rules after every date it can find. Before, I was doing it manually, and it would have taken me forever. But I said, "wait, this is Editorial."

It didn't take long to make the workflow use a regular expression to find dates and insert a horizontal rule tag before them.

Wow! I've been using pythonista for a while especially with the ui class but I just purchased 'editorial' based on this post. I have to concur with the poster's sentiments.

I've been scripting my life since the early 70's when I used the MUMPS language (now M technologies). Besides about the earliest implementation of sparse arrays (known in modern languages as hash or dictionaries) it had that useful feature that all tools on a MUMPS system including the program editor were written in MUMPS. I eventually moved to emacs, LISP, perl and then python for scripting. After 45 years it looks like you have finally kicked my iPhone up to the same level. Apple tries to dumb it down but you are giving control back to the user.

Now if you would only add Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support, Apple's Core Bluetooth framework, to Python (forget the kludgy Bluetooth 2.0) it would make it easy to script my internet of things. BLE is the only reason left I still create my own xcode iOS apps.
