I'm starting the first leg of two flights, the second being 6hours. I've downloaded a python style guide to read. Any great recommendations from the Pythonista community to up my skills and proficiency in the language? I'll check up after my first leg.

You might already have this, as it's also a style guide, but Code like a Pythonista contains a nice collection of various tips.

Another, similar collection:

Python Shortcuts for the Python Beginner

If you're into math at all, you could also read the SymPy tutorial (also included in Pythonista, so you don't need internet connectivity). It's a pretty fascinating module.

I'm currently reading this on my iPad:

Think Complexity

Which is about data structures, models and simulations and for people who already know Python.

The same author has an introductory Python book:

Think Python - How to Think Like a Computer Scientist

You can buy the books or download free PDFs of earlier versions or read the HTML version online.
