Set UI Control Value

Sets the text value of a UI control

This action changes the value/text of a specific control within a custom UI, for example the text of a label, or the numeric value of a slider. How the value is interpreted depends on the type of the control:

  • Label – The text of the label
  • Button – The title of the button
  • Slider – The value of the slider (between 0.0 and 1.0)
  • Switch – “ON”, “YES”, or “TRUE” turn the switch on, all other values turn it off
  • Segmented Control – The title of the segment that should be selected (if there is no segment with this title, nothing happens)
  • Text Field – The content of the text field
  • Text View – The content of the text view
  • Web View – Can either be a URL (http[s], file) or HTML text
  • Table View – Row titles (one per line)
  • Image View – The name of a built-in image or the URL of a web image

Note that this action is only available within an embedded workflow of a Custom UI action.
